Photo Walks programme 2013


I am pleased to present the list of Photo Excursions offered by the Photo Club in 2013. If you are interested, you can register  >>>> here <<<< .


  • Gardens: Open Garden Days on the canals in Amsterdam, the private gardens of several canal houses in the capital are open to the public on the weekend of 14th to 16th June. Date/time; Saturday 15th June at 10h00. See programme at http://www.opentuinendagen.nl/ . Meeting point: Vlaamse Bakker in the Vijzelstraat 109 for breakfast from 9:30  (note: we did this photo walk in 2012, but we can repeat it if there are interested participants).

  • Architecture 1: The "Amsterdamse School - Plan Zuid", Amsterdam Centre-South, walk along one of the neighbourhoods built in the architectural style of the start of the 20th century, on a Sunday afternoon, around 1 1/2h.

  • Architecture 2: The "Amsterdamse School - Spaarndammerbuurt", Amsterdam Centre-West, walk along one of the neighbourhoods built in the architectural style of the start of the 20th century, on a Saturday morning, around 2h - on Saturday morning it is also possible to follow a (paid) guided tour in the neighbourhood in English.

  • Urban Landscapes 1: Rotterdam from the Old Harbour to the Nederlands Fotomuseum. Includes Cube Houses, Boompjes, Erasmus Bridge, visit to the Nederlands Fotomuseum, on a Sunday, ca. 4 h (requires sunny day). Meeting point: NS Station Blaak.

  • Leiden HDR: Night photography in Leiden, includes Rembrandtbridge, Theater, Marekerk. Weekday late evening, ca. 2h. Starting point Morschpoort. 

  • Urban Landscapes 2: Amsterdam "Eastern Islands". Walk along the modern architectures of newly redeveloped islands Java and KNSM. Includes the Barcelona- and Piraeus complexes and the grachten on Java, on what used to be the Amsterdam docks area. On a Sunday, ca. 2 1/2 h. Meeting point: "Kanis & Meiland", Levantkade 127. (* note: we did this photowalk in 2011, but I will be happy to repeat it if there is sufficient interest).
