- Timelapses: Pietro G. Time lapse photography is a technique where a sequence of photo frames of a subject are captured and then combined to be played back at a much higher speed in a video. Note: this will be a repeat of the workshop in 2012, but it will be repeated if there are interested participants.
- Magic Lantern: Nicolas G. A workshop on the Magic Lantern firmware for Canon DSLR, possibly with hands-on, including the intervalometer feature (useful for timelapse). Note: this lecture is Canon-specific.
- 3D Photography: Nicolas G. A presentation on 3D stereo photography. We have a 3D camera to borrow in the club, a 3D TV in the telecom lab, and some members may even have a 3D TV at home. Note: this will be a repeat of the workshop in 2011, but it will be repeated if there are interested participants.
- Printing in the Darkroom: Volker K. A practical hands-on introduction session to the use of the club's darkroom to achieve quality prints from your analogue films.
- Street Photography: Olga P. Street Photography is the art of portraying the reality of a city, a compound of people, architecture and vehicles. Through street photography we can learn more about the behaviour of cities and their inhabitants and we can show it from our own point of view.
- HDR: Neil M. HDR (High Dynamic Range) is a photo technique that allows to represent the contrast in scenes with large intensity difference between the brightest and darkest areas.It can be applied in combination with tone mapping to allow extreme local contrast for artistic effects.
- Digital Photo Scanner: Roberto D. (on request) A practical hands-on introduction to the use of the club's Digital Scanner to digitise your analogue films or prints.
- Beginners' Guide to SLR Modes: Marco S.. Why are there so many modes on a DSLR? Av, Tv, P etc. When should I use a specific mode? Live demo. Please feel free to bring your camera along

- Beginners' Guide to Exposure: Roberto D. For beginners, an introductory session to learn how to shoot well-exposed pictures which are neither blown out nor too dark, and how exposure is influenced by the "exposure triangle" i.e. the camera's shutter, aperture and sensitivity.
- Focus and Focussing Modes: Speaker to be Announced. For beginners, an introductory session to learn on focussing basics and the camera's focussing modes.
- White Balance and Metering Modes: Speaker to be Announced For beginners, an introductory session to learn white balance and the camera's metering modes.
